disk too full error

I am working in Word 2000. I have a file with various Excel files imbedded
into the document. I need to be able to enter information into the cells and
have them act like in Excel. No matter where I try to save this file, I get
the error "disk is too full". I can't do anything with this file now!

Word gives this message for a lot of error conditions, almost none of which
have anything at all to do with the repleteness of your disk. Usually it
means your document is corrupt. Create a new document, then copy and paste
the content of your old, bit by bit, saving as you go. Do not copy the old
document's final paragraph mark. Leave the embedded bits until last.
