I got a new Maxtor 120GB IDE drive. Got an Ultra133 RAID Controller to put
it on.
Attached new drive as primary master to the controller. Booted from
existing drive (win2kpro),
partitioned and formatted the new drive through disk management as follows:
1GB FAT32 4K clusters.
117GB NTFS 4K clusters.

Disconnect existing drive. Only cd-rom drive (onboard secondary master) and
new hard drive (controller primary master) are attached. Insert windows
2000 CD to setup windows on the NTFS partition. Boot off the CD.
Before getting to point where it prompts you to press F6, I get the
following:
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100

Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration...

Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
Disk I/O error: Status = 00000100
NTDETECT failed
