Some 3 months ago: Utilizing Dell support chat we removed all
instances (supposedly) of the program Sonic.
When attempting to utilize the subject this PM I did the following:
Disk Cleanup for Primary (C) / Disk Cleanup / More Options /
Windows components that you do not use / OK
ERROR MSG>
Windows XP was unable to open File
sonic.inf
Specific Error Code is OX2 at line 2088999411
I had no choice but to OK out.
I then used Start / search to locate "sonic.inf" Drive (C) all files
and folders / Search Hidden Folders / Search subfolders / and
Case Sensitive
No results
Using the above criteria I then tried *.sonic and *.inf
No sonic files
but *.inf showed I guess more than 1200 .inf files, but, no sonic.
Then search the Registry for any instances of sonic.
Nothing.
Question: Why does the Error come up and where in my machine can
the miserable "sonic.inf" be hiding?
Thanks for reading this and hopefully replying,
