Disk Cleanup Issue

When trying to "cleanuup" my disk cache, my computer seems to stall at the
"Disk cleanup is calculating how much space you will be able to free on (C)"
dialog box.

I know I probably have an abundance of files that can be eliminated from the
cache but I can't get to it to clean it up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
