Windows xp disk clean stalls. Tried every support I can
think of for this problem. Also was on line with "HP
Instant Support" for hours. We finally resolved the disk
clean, but then had problems & errors with support
itself. An update package stalled and would not even
update. The "Instant Support" guy had me Click start,
click run, type regedit, locate registry key, etc. &
delete. One problem led to another. At the end, I was
told by him to do a "Destructive Recovery". I have no
clue what this is and afraid to do so. All I am looking
for is some help with trying to fix the disk clean. This
morning I had to "restore" back to an earlier date, just
so I could return to my main problem with the disk clean.
Can anyone give me some input or help as to why it caused
so many problems?
