Disk Clean Up

Everytime I try to use Disk CleanUp it sticks. The CPU usage on task manager says 100% for cleanmgr and I have to ed the process. Please help.
 
What is your system specs? For how long does it "stick"? It could be in
the process of deleting a load of files. Leave it for 10-15 mins and see if
it stays like that for that long.

Good Morning,
I expect you have the same problem as I and many others have experienced
with XP; the Disk Cleanup function freezes at the Compress Old Files stage.
Go here for a fix: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm . Scroll
down to Line No. 48, look at the right side box and click it to download the
fix. Read and follow the instructions.

As I don't compress old files, is there any way to turn this feature off so
Disk Cleanup doesn't search for files?
