Disk Check at startup!

I

IanSmythe

For some reason my computer (Windows XP Pro) began to start Disk Check
everytime I go to use it. I remember having this trouble last year and
someone gave the answer which was to change some entry in the registry.
I unfortunately can't remember what it was. Can someone help me with
this? Thank you.
If I do let the computer go through with the Disk Check it finds nothing
wrong.

Hi,

It's not in the registry. Click start/run, type cmd and click ok. From the
prompt, run chkntfs /d to clear the bit that causes the disk checker to run.
