Right, im having a problem accessing one of my hard drives.
I am currently running two sata hard disks, both with Windows XP Pro on
them. One is an "all round" drive (my default boot drive on sata channel 1)
and the other is dedicated to my audio recording set-up (on sata channel 2).
If i was to boot into my default drive (on sata channel 1) i can access the
channel 2 drive through My Computer where it has been assigned a drive
letter. On the other hand if i boot into my secondary drive i cannot see my
default drive on Channel 1.
If i go into Disk Managment on the secondary drive there is another hard
drive but is not assigned a drive letter. If i check the options for that
drive i can only delete the partition, which i dont want to do!
About 3 hours ago my default drive froze and rebooted its self, now i cant
even get passed the welcome screen due to the computer freezing as soon as i
click.
I can still boot up my secondary but i need to be able to see the other
drive so i can get files and coursework off it before i "attempt" to fix the
default drive.
The default drive is password protected so i dont know if thats got
something to do with it.
In Disk Managment on the secondary drive it says my Default drive is
"Healthy (System). Think the (System) means i cant access it for some reason.
If you could offer any assistance AT ALL it would by much appreciated. I
need my cousework, esspecially since i only have 3 weeks left!
Thank You!!
