Disjoin W2K pro from NT 4 Domain

I have a 2000 pro that has been deleted from a NT 4 Domain. I have
tried to move the 2000 pro pc into a workgroup. I get an error saying
cannot connect to DC.

Is there any way to move this computer to a workgroup with the pc not
in the domain anymore.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Use a logon on the Windows 2000 computer that's part of the local
Administrator group.

Here is the error I get when trying to join a workgroup.

The session setup to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller
<Unknown> for the domain %DomainName% failed because the Domain
Controller does not have an account for the computer %ComputerName%.

Event ID 5721

Thanks

Have you tried using a local Administrator ID and password and changing the
logon from domain to the local PC?
