Disconnect from a database

Anjaconda

I connected my new laptop to the BCM database on my old laptop. I actually
want to do it the other way around and have the original database on my new
laptop. How do i disconnect the new laptop from the database on the old
laptop? I couldn't see an easy way to do this? Or do i have to uninstall
again?

Thank you for your help.

You can try the following (assuming BCM 2007; this can also work with
2003, but with additional steps):

Copy the database .mdf file from the old laptop to the same folder on
the new laptop. Start Outlook/BCM on the new laptop and then select
the new database. Then share the database--in order for BCM to open
the network port, etc. On the old laptop, start Outlook/BCM and select
the new laptop and the database you shared.
