Disappearing File Names

I have a folder in my C drive, It's my "stuff" folder. I put everything that
I don't really have another place for inside that folder. Inside the folder
is a lot of subfolders for further organization. I keep the folders inside
"Stuff" in thumbnail view for ease at finding things.

Anyway, after awhile, the file names beneath the thumbnails will just
disappear. I don't know what causes it, and everyone I speak to just says
"That's weird..." If I change the folder from "Stuff" to something else,
anything else, the filenames re-appear. If at that point I create a new
folder, name it Stuff, and throw any file in there in thumbnail view, its
file name will not be displayed, but if the file is moved to another folder,
it's name will re-appear.

Does anybody know what's going on or how to fix it? It'd be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

Right click the folder and then while holding down the shift key click on Open. The
file and folder names should now be displayed if they weren't before or if they were
being displayed, they now won't be displayed.
