disappearing clients from active directory

Strange thing started happening in our domain. Last week I
had a user complain about not being able to log onto the
domain. After checking out the problem I found that the
user was no longer listed in Active Directory and when I
checked further I found the "red X" in the mailbox store
in Exchange system manager. I recreated the user account
but could not reconnect the user to his mailbox. Well,
today I lost 2 more clients and I have no idea why. Is
there anyone that can point me in the right direction to
fix this situation and to prevent the loss of more clients
from the domain?

The account would have to be manually deleted. I am not aware of anything
that would cause the account to be removed. I suggest that you enable
auditing of account management. That would at least give you an idea of who
or what is deleting the accounts.
