Disappearing bubbles!

Lunaray

Instead of putting my program shortcuts on my desktop, I put them in my
taskbar and depend on the bubbles to tell me which program the icon
represents, but my bubbles keep disappearing behind the taskbar! If I
restart windows they come back, but before long they disappear again! Is
there a way to prevent this from happening?

Thanks all!

This is common, unless SP2 took care of this problem I don't believe their is
a fix.

To keep your desktop from being cluddered you could create one folder and
put all of your program shortcuts in it?

Thanks, I'm at least glad to know that I'm not the only one it happens to!
Nope, SP2 didn't fix it!

Do you have Auto-hide checked in the taskbar properties? If so, try
this procedure which works for me:

1. Ctrl-Alt-Del to open Task Mangler.
2. Processes tab.
3. Find every instance of EXPLORER.EXE and terminate the process.
You'll get a generic warning message; click OK.
4. Still in Task Mangler, File -> New task (Run) and in the box
type EXLORER then click OK.
5. Close Task Mangler.

It seems sometimes the taskbargets confused. Closing and reopening
Explorer fixes it.

If you don't have Auto-hide set, it still might be worh a try.
