Disabling windows update

Hi....is there anyway we can disable windows update so
that users are not able to go to windows update website
and install the patch? We're trying to force the windows
update through our SUS server instead.
Is there any registry settings we can change to turn
windows update off?

You'll need a GPO to push the SUS updates out - when you set that up, it'll
disable the Automatic Updates settings on the client machines. If you don't
want users to be able to access http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com then
simply block it's IP at the perimeter firewall level.
