Disabling smart hyperlinks

When I paste a hyperlink into a cell (e.g., http://www.yahoo.com), I
want Excel to treat it like any other text.

I realize I can accomplish this with the "remove hyperlink"
functionality, but I'd rather not have to go through that hassle.

In xl2003 menus:
tools|Autocorrect Options|Autoformat as you type

Uncheck the top option.
