Disabling Internet Explorer

What is the best way to totaly disable internet explorer? I have used
Add/Remove programs to remove it, but that dose not stop some one from
typing in a URL in the address bar on explorer to open a URL, for the
ime been Internet Explorer has no internet access as i used ZA to
block it, but how would i go about totaly disabling it?

Or perhaps make some kind of change so that when some one types in a
url in explorer it opens the URL in another browser, such as firefox.

See this discussion:

like Mandrake's method at the bottom the best.

thanks for that, i desided to go the way of removing access to
mshtml.dll, bcasue this will work on a big centraly distributed
network, one strange thing, that dll is the procesor for internet
explorer, when access is disabled internet explorer is lost and insted
of trying to display the html as it should be displayed, it tries to
download the last object loded on the page (if the page has no images,
it tries to download the page html, if there are images, it downloads
the last image on the page) still, no more internet explorer only
means one thing, more security :D
