Disable WMI?

S

Sarah

I suspect that WMI might be causing a conflict with some
software on my system. I don't know very much about WMI
but I would like to end the wmiprvse.exe process in
Windows XP Professional (is possible) but I don't know
how. Is this possible?

WMI is a low-level operating system service which can be disabled though it
is not recommended to do so. Wmiprvse.exe is a subsystem of WMI that is
loaded as needed by the service.

What problems are you having and what leads you to suspect WMI?
