I'm just curious, how long have you been using your Vista Laptop not
counting the rest of the days left in this month?
You can Disable the prompt your getting by editing the Vista HP laptop
Registry.
If you need instructions for a Registry edit then I suggest you rethink your
current
strategy and revert back to using UAC in a standard account at least until
you become
more acquainted with the registry.
Because IMO those that use a computer this day and time running in elevated
privileges fall into 1 or 2 categories.
1. Experts that know what they are doing and have sound / technical reasons
for doing so.
2. Most users that have no or very little understanding / education in PC
computer security and I'm not talking just virus activity etc.
That being said, and because someone will more than likely give you the
information anyway with out any vetting (usually by an expert).
