disable touchpad double-touch

the touchpad is too sensitive, I often get unwanted emulated clicks,
which I assume result from touching the field twice.

I want this to be disabled and clicks should only be accepted from the
buttons,
not from the touching-field.
The touching field shall still move the cursor/mouse-pointer/arrow ,
but not click

That certainly was a strange way to ask a question but can the
double click speed not be adjusted like that of a mouse?

Geez, it's hard for me to imagine how the post from gsgs could be any more explicit. Of course its a question. He or she obviously doesn't like the double-touch function of the touchpad and wants to know how to disable it. I too would like to know. Is it possible?
