Disable the Separator Page ?

S

Stewart West

I was just set-up with a new computer that has Windows XP
and everything I print prints a separator page with my
name on it. If I print 2 two copies, it prints two
separator pages. I want to turn off the separator page
because it is a waste of paper and toner. There are
several people in my office with the same problem.

Thanks

The Windows separator page is on the Advanced Tab of Printer Properties if
this is a local printer and you have admin rights.

HOW TO: Configure Printer Settings in Windows 2000 Server

If this field is blank, some print drivers have a configuration within the
driver that prints a separator (sometimes called banner) page. I have seen
this with some HP and Xerox high end printers. You need to search around in
the Printing Defaults to figure out were this is.

If you connect to a server and print through the server for this device, you
will need to ask your system administrator to disable this.
