Disable Laptop Standby When Closing Lid

Is there a way to disable standby or prevent the laptop from requesting the
user's password after closing the laptop lid. Users who use the laptops for
presentations are not the ones who initially sign in. It is a new HP laptop.
There are no power settings in BIOS.

Yes, standby can be disabled, but each laptop manufacturer could determine
what the closing of the laptop lid triggers. Is it the same as pressing the
power button? Thes optios are usually a drop down list in the Power Options
app in Cntrol Panel, but systems vary.

You can also uncheck the option "Prompt for password when computer resume
from Standby...." under Control Panel's - Power Options, if you do not wish a
password after resume from Standby.

Hope this help, let us know!
