disable extra buttons on a 5 buttons mouse (how to)

I just recently bought a dynex 5 button mouse, the two extra buttons on the
side are a pain in the neck. is there a way for me to disable them, all i
want is the regular two buttons and the scroll wheel/button. I dont want to
install the mouse softare though. thankx
 
Most probably you can disable them in the options of the Mouse Software that
you do not wish to install
 
You didn't go to the manufacturer with this question because.............?
