DirectX 9b

Hi all,

I need Direct X 9b, and when i try to install it the
system gives me an error :

"The software you are installing has not passed Windows
Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.


This software will not be installed. contact your system
administrator."

The funny thing is that I downloaded DirectX 9b from the
official Microsoft website.

Any tips or ideas ?????

Try ...

Start ... Control Panel ... System ... Hardware ... Driver Signing.

Set to Warn, and then retry your install. Instead of refusing to install, it
will ask for permission.

Some device drivers are not signed by Microsoft test labs. Microsoft wants
XP to only use signed drivers, by default. The previous reply allows you to
use un-signed drivers, which 99.99999% of the time usually works.
