Directx 9.0b

Hi,

I have lately been trying out the evaluation version of
windows xp embedded. I have a prorgram already created
for me to test everything i would be using the embedded
windows for. The problem i have ran into is that the
program im creating is multimedia intensive. I have
already been working for months with directx 9 so
changing to 8 would be a huge leap backwards for me.

Now that you have a little background into what im doing
this is were my question comes from. Im not sure about
the purchased version of windows embedded, but the
evaluation version only comes with directx 8. Im having
alot of trouble creating my own component due to the
amount of things needed for directx 9 to run. So my
question is if anyone knows were i can get an already
made component for directx 9, or maybe some ways that
some else has used directx 9 in windows embedded.

Thanks for reading my question,
Wes Macdonald

This question is asked few times, and MS is still componentizing DX 9.
Until they make DX component you should install it during FBA.

For more info search this NG.

That called up an image of someone going to work dressed in leather.
I *knew* all that p0rn spam would start having bad effects one day ;-)
[I mean on my mind]

Thanks for pressing the issue, but OTOH, I hope that won't result in
it being released with wiring pinched between the chassis and the
housing or so.

I'd rather have it a bit later than something that works only 99% of
the time. Installing it through FBA seems to work perfectly, so
things aren't on fire.
