Directory formats

In Word 2007, when I save a document to a directory, the directory shows all
Word documents in a folder format that is normally used for photos ("date
taken," etc.).

How can I get these directory folders to use normal document formatting?

Don't believe it's possible in any version of Word (nor any other software
that I'm aware of) to have a default ".doc" based upon directory/folder.
(It's somewhat possible in Apache).

You would be able to create multipl default ".doc" (i. e., doc1, doc2,
doc3, etc) and open the apllicable folder-doc when beginnning your session.

One of the MVP's may be able to advise you of an alternative, perhaps even
a script.

I think Leeds just wants files displayed in Explorer windows in List or
Details format instead of as Large Icons.

I don't think anyone is expecting them to. It was my judgment that that was
what Leeds was asking how to do.

It seems to me Bill from Leeds already knew how to access Windows Explorer, so changing the view details doesn't take a great leap
of technical skill from there ...
