Directory Delete

I have tried to delete a certain directory in my C drive and it won't let me
delete or remane is and give me the error message that it cannot read from
the source file or disk. I know this is not true as I am to do this to ever
other directory in my hard disk. How can I remove this directory?

Is the folder a Windows one or one that was created by a 3rd party program?
Try deleting the folder from a command prompt.

No it was not created by a third party program. I made the directory using
windows explorer file managment. Further if I was to use the command promt
and the rmdir command ...do I have to type the entire path?
