Directories always display standard info even after switching these off

If I look at my pictures, or music, directories I get (in
XP) a camera, or musical note, "picture" shown in the
bottom right hand part of the directory along with a
standard set of attributes.
--First the directories never remember the "view"
settings and revert back to the standard 'tiles'.
--Second when in detail mode, information like (picture)
dimemsions, (song/movie) length, artist name are
choosen.
However, I don't want these attributes, and I have to
remove them each time. How can one permenantly turn
these "helpful attributes"?

--Thanks guys!

By default XP is programmed to only remember 400 custom folder views, after
that it's supposed to overwrite the oldest customizations, but it doesn't.

There is a registry edit to increase that number, but I use the XP powertoy
"Tweak UI v 2.1" it allows you to increase that number, as long as you have
plenty of free hard drive space for storing the information.

There are also lots of other customizations/settings in Tweak UI.

Google it and make sure you get the one for XP. Then have fun!
