Direct X

I noticed that my Direct X 9.0b was showing (under "Direct X files") that
my qasf.dll file is "an old version" and "could cause problems.

So, I downloaded the end-user runtime directx 9 from Microsoft, and
reinstalled it, as recommended.

It still displays the same message!

How can this file be an old version, when I've just downloaded the latest
version?

Is it anything to do with my Graphics card - Nvidia FX 5700 with original
drivers.

Everything works, and my PC is really new, so I'm keen to keep things
updated.

Any ideas?

Sorry if it's off topic, I couldn't find a more suitable newsgroup.

Thanks for any ideas.

Nik.

Got the latest drivers, but still shows it as an old version!

Has a date of 27/5/2004 next to it in the DXdiag tools. Hardly out of date!

Should I go for 9.0c?

Thanks again.

Nik.
