direct x problem

I need help loading my diablo game for windows xp, I keep
getting a direct x error. I tried to update the direct x
to version 9b and it uploaded fine but the game still
doesnt load. Any solutions???

been running Diablo2 LoD for months on WinXP pro without
any problems... perhaps do you required the latest patch
for DiabloII before being able to run it?

Are you talking about Diablo 1 or II and if II, LoD?
