Digital Image Suite - Plus - or Anniversary Edition

Can anyone synopsise the difference between these two products - without
having to do massive document research?
I was complaining earlier about not being able to use my old PictureIt
Xpress and dowloaded the D.Suite 60 day trial, and I eventually broke down
and ordered the new Plus at 99. with a mail in rebate, and subsequently saw
the Anniversary edition as a much cheaper price. The Q/A add says that they
are virtually the same, which seems odd. ha ha, any advice gratefully
recieved.
Apart from family photo's I like do clean up of old sheet music scans with
the original paint program that used to be in the Picture It, bit not
available now unless I purchase one of these suite additions. (The regular
paint programme (MS Paint) is insufficient for that).
Many thanks,
Russ

Plus includes a copy of Pinnacle Studio v.10 which
is installed as a completely separate program. There
is no interaction between the two programs...Pinnacle
is for video editing and DIS Suite is for image editing
and archiving.

Otherwise...Digital Image Suite 2006 is exactly the
same product in each package. The Anniversary
edition is just a re-boxed version of the original
Digital Image Suite 2006 that was released in mid
2005...it is the most current version available and
there have been no announcements of the release
of a newer version.

There is a 45 day return guarantee from Microsoft
that may be useful to you:

Thanks for that information John, as it happens I already have Pinnacle
Studio 8 on a seperate firewire board bought specially for my VidCam editing,
so I might be just better off with just the Anniversary Edition? Or will
Studio 10 & 8 become a conflicting scenario?

Thanks again,

Russ

If you do not want Pinnacle 10...of course
the best option is the Anniversary edition
of DIS 2006.

I have no idea if the two versions of Pinnacle
would create issues. Maybe Pinnacle Support
would be a good place to ask.
