Digital Image Suite 2006 Editor

Purchased and loaded DI Suite 2006 Editor. When I create a new project such
as scrapbook page or frames/mat I get the following message: The catalog
database has become corrupt. Please reinstall DI Suite 2006 Editor to
restore the database. I've reinstalled several times and keep getting same
message. Any ideas?

Try the following :

Go to...Start / Search...and do a search for:
Pictures.pd3

If you don't find it...open a
folder and go to...Tools / Folder
Options / View tab...

Tick..."Show hidden files and folders" / Apply / OK.

Now search again...

Also, the following path will lead you to it:
C:\Documents and Settings\>username<\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\POD\Pictures.pd3

When you find the file...."Pictures.pd3"
right click it and rename it to..."Pictures.OLD"...

Restart your computer and try the program again.

Let me know if it makes a difference.

Also, if you explore Disk one you will find
a readme.txt file that offers some installation
tips.

It's important that Virus scanners and HP OfficeJet
machines are disabled during the install. This is
discussed in the readme.txt file.

John,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it didn't work. I keep getting the
same message. The only HP program that I have on my computer involves my
digital camera which allows me to load pictures from my camera to the
computer. Could that have anything to do with it? Any other ideas?

Okay...have a look at the following
KB article:

(894735) You may receive the "Catalog
database has become corrupted" error
message when you use Picture It! Photo
Premium 10 or Digital Image
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894735

Note: The article has not been updated for
the 2006 version (11) yet so there will be a
change in the path...from:

DriveLetter:\Program Files\Microsoft Digital Image 10

TO:

DriveLetter:\Program Files\Microsoft Digital Image 2006

Actually, a simple search from...Start / Search...
should find the necessary files.
