Different folder for different accounts

Steve Jackson

I have 3 POP3 email accounts setup in Outlook XP, in which I created
them seperately through new POP3 account in Tools>E-mail accounts. At
the moment all incoming mail is directed to the general inbox for and
emails from the different accounts are mixed together. The 3 email
accounts can only be seen through my username in Windows XP, while
other people using my PC have their own POP3 accounts associated with
their own XP logons.

What I am after is to redirect and filter incoming emails depending on
which email address it is sent to. Is this possible through this setup
of accounts or will I have to alter properties/rules in Outlook to
recognise each seperate email address to have seperate inboxes.

Many Thanks for any help someone can give me.

Sorry, I need to correct my last reply slightly -- my brain skipped over
the part where you said you were using Outlook 2002 :) There is
another way to separate your e-mail accounts, and that would be to
create a separate mail profile for each of them (Control Panel | Mail |
Show Profiles | Add). Each POP3 account would then have its own Inbox
and other folders, completely separate from the other POP3 accounts.
However, you would have to log out of Outlook each time you wanted to
switch from another profile, and it didn't sound to me like this is what
you're looking for. I did want you to know it was an option, though.
