Didnt back up files before I upgrade to Vista from XP - HELP!

What kind of files are you talking about. I upgraded and didn't lose
anything. Can you explain further please.

Did you do a clean install or just the upgrade? If you did the upgrade they
should still be there. If you did a format and clean install, they are
probably gone without some major recovery methods.
