Diamond View SCSI Card and Drivers

Hi, I am running Windows Genuine XP Prof SP2. I purchased a film scanner that
came with a SCSI Card, I installed ect and everything worked fine, however
now 3 out of 5 times when I start my puter it just does not get past the
moving blue bar section, other times it will just start normally. Would it be
the SCSI CArd is faulty, I removed it from my machine and it works fine.

Anyone else have a problem of this type?????

The card may be marginal, or not outputting responses at times within the
time allotted by XP during bootup.

Go to the manuafacturer and get the latest WinXP SCSI controller driver or get an Adaptec
SCSI controller.

The software for the film scanner may have the drivers for the scsi card,
and may be specific to using that scsi card for the software to work.
Another words, you may be stuck using that specific make/model of scsi card.

Hi David,
Thanks for your advice, I think the best thing is I will get a new SCSI Card
as you suggested, install that then go from there.

Best Wishes to You and Family for Christmas mate.
Richard.
