Dialog Box closing too quickly!

Please help: as of yesterday, dialog boxes keep closing on me in a few
seconds, often before I'm even able to choose an option. I made some tweaks
using Tweak UI yesterday, but I've searched and re-searched there, and can't
seem to find anything relevant. Ideas?

One other dialog box problem while I'm at it: many times in the past, a
dialog box opened (or even, say, a license agreement that a vendor wants you
to press "I agree" to) but the box itself was too small to read all the
contents. Unlike anything else in Microsoft products, it never lets me drag
the sides wider or longer -- or in any way make it bigger. Is there a way to
change this?

Hi,

Try to use System restore to restore the system to the state before making
the tweaks with Tweak UI. It is strange that the dialog boxes close before u
act. Did you check your computer for trojans and spyware. Also have u enabled
your firewall to prevent outside attacks.

Regarding the non ability to resize the dialog boxes this is a standard of
Windows and dialog boxes cannot be resized because they are modal windows
(meaning they stand on top of every other applications and do nothing unless
you take action.

And if they are in such a way that u are unable to see them fully, it is
because of your screen resolution. Did you install the display adapter
drivers and adjust the resolution to at least 1024 * 768. That is the best
resolution and will allow u to see the whole dialog box without resizing the
screen.

Thanks for the quick reply! I hate to sound stupid, but I don't know how to
use System restore to restore to a specific point. How can I restore "pre
Tweak UI"? Also, presumably anything else I did to/on the computer since
then would be lost as well -- how could I tell which changes were lost?

Thanks again in advance. BTW, I'm using a laptop with a 14" screen and I
find the high resolution makes the type way too small to read, which is
presumably why i can't read the whole dialog box. Is there a way to toggle
that setting easily back and forth?

Best regards,

Go to help and support and type in system restore. It will walk you
through the process.
