Dial up works, but no browser

B

Bill

I can use the dial up to the ISP (set up using ISPs
programming for dialer). When I click on the browser, it
cannot find the webpage. I can ping the IP addy given by
the ISP, I can ping the gateway addy, I can ping the dns
servers, I can ping other folks DNS servers, but when I
fire up the browser, it can't find any webpages.

I set up another dialer by hand to dial a different ISP
entirely. The modem dials out, connects - I can ping the
various stuff, but when I fire up the browser - it just
gives me the can't find the server page.

Any suggestions?????

Thanks,
Bill

You may have the qhosts trojan. See:

Or you may have some nasty spyware that hijacted your IE. See:
