My parents have a centrino laptop which the use Dial-Up for at home and when
they bring it to my house I have set it up to use the wireless LAN
connection.

It connects to the LAN etc however when they try to browse it brings up
their DialUp connection window and if they choose cancel then they are
offfline...

How can I set it up to use the wireless LAn and only go to DialUp if the
wireles is not present ?

Thanks

Under Internet Options>Connections set the dialup to only dial when a
network connection is not present.

May be the option "Never dial a connection" in Control Panel-Internet
Options-"Connection" tab would be more appropriate. :)

Go to Internet properties, Connection tab and set it to "Dial
whenever a network connection is not present". It occasionally gets
it wrong the first time, but generally works OK.

Otherwise set it to the "Never dial a connection option" and
remember to change it back to Always dial etc when your folks go back
home.

Change internet explorer dialup settings to dial whenver a network
connection is not present.
