Dear All

I have on DHCP server defined with one scope of 150.149.0.10 - 150.149.0.254 with subnet mask of 255.255.0.0

I want to define a scope range of 150.149.148.201 - 150.149.148.244 with same subnet maks of 255.255.0.0
BUT whenever I try to create this I receive error message the new scope conflicts with existing scope.

IF I try to change the existing scope to new range (there isn't any ip leased), I still get error that either scope range already exist or is not correct.

IF I exclude the 150.149.148.201 - 244 range from 150.149.0.10 - 254 range, it says the excluding scope is not the subset of existing scope.

Tried even creating super scoope and then the new second scope under super scope, still get the message new scope conflicts with existing scope range.

Any clue please, how I could create this new scope, and obtain address in 150.149.148.x format only?

Any help will be appreciated
Best Regards,

The subnet mask 255.255.0.0 indicates that your DHCP range will be every IP from 150.149.0.1 on up. If you wish to keep it within 150.149.0.0, change your subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. The errors are because the system believes that you want to use all IPs available.

Check that out. Maybe it will help.
