OK so now i'm using Dfs and it's a gret tool.... i just
can't understand on elittle thing and maybe one of you can
explane it better ... i created a Dfs root and added a new
root replica. Added a link to it called software. Here is
the question:
Does this mean that if one server goes down the other one
will take over??? Do both server hold a copy of the entire
software folder?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Both servers will simultaneously handle requests. The first server to
respond to a client's request will serve that client. DFS is also site aware
in AD. If a client is in Site X, it will look for a server with a copy of
the DFS link in Site X first.

If you haven't already, you need to setup soem form of replication for this
to work properly. You can use the builtin FRS to do the replication if you
like - right click the link and goto Configure Replication.
