DFS and GPO on W2000

I have active directory and DFS hosted on a Windows 2000 server. Most of my
work stations are Windows 2000 and apply GPO correctly. I have 1 that has
never applied the GPOs and now another that has just stopped. They both
log-in, and can access all domain and network shares, but do apply policies,
run GPO login scripts and cannot access the DFS root. The one that quit
working does not appear to have any changes. Any help on where to look would
be appreciated.

After poking around Micro soft with event messages, I found that by
uninstalling the IP protocol, reboot, then Install IP. The system would
operate correctly.
