Device Drivers not installed automatically

T

Thomas Zangl

Hi!

I build a system based on my hardware component and the "Kiosk / Gaming
Console" template. I also added System Control Panel, Device Manager,
Display Settings and a few drivers:

Realtek AC'97 (installed perfectly)
VIA SiS Unichrome IGP (wants to be installed after the FBA reboot, but I
created a component of the drivers inf file and added it to the
configuration)
some I/O device driver (onboard device, I created a component of the
drivers INF file and added it to the config)

So, why is the VIA SiS Unichrome IGP not installed automatically? I
noticed the the HLP files are missing. I checked the component
configuration but in the files section they are present (with
destination path %18%).

Why is the I/O driver not installed automatically? It is also missing in
the build? (Note: there are no warnings or errors in the build process)
Why are the MS WDM Kernel Parts (e.g. the Echo Canceller) missing (the
device manager shows them with a exklamation mark) and says that there a
re missing files?

It seems my build process is loosing files?!

Best regards,

If you created a component for the video driver, you need to enable help in
the configuration. Settings->Other Settings uncheck "Do not copy help files
for this configuration".

It appears tht NVIDIA and VIA are creating device drivers that require the
help system to be present.
