My desktop is not showing any folders or Taskbar, I have
tried re booting several times and also Right clicking on
desktop which is not having any effect. I can do Ctrl Alt
Del which opens Task Manager and I can then open files.
Thanks

I have the same problem since early morning Friday (CET).

No desktop, no taskbar programs only accessible through ctl- alt-del >> also
notice that a small pop-up window appears saying "Project1" - "it is time".
Also just noticed something tried to read my address book

Looks like the kids have loaded a virus during surfing - - anyone know how
to fix this??

Thanks

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
small utility scans your system for startup programs and running processes.
It also allows you to create a log file that can be copied and pasted into a
newsgroup post. The contents of the program window are also copied to the
Windows Clipboard, automatically.

Note: For newsgroup replies, it usually isn't necessary to include the
running Services.

You will need to bring up Task Manager to run Internet Explorer, and this
application.
