I forgot.

How would I arrange my desktop so that the toolbar (I think that's
what its called - the bar with the programs I am running) is on one
line instead of two?

I use Windows XP Pro with S.P. 2.

I think you mean the Taskbar, make sure you lock it, when you have it
the way you like.

Did you mean by Start - All Programs bar list. If yes, then right-click on
Taskbar and choose Properties. Click Start Menu tab - click Customize button
- click Advanced - here scroll down the list and make a check mark on "Scroll
Programs" option.
