Desktop Shortcuts 4 Limited User

Hello,

I set up a limited user account yesteday hoping to use if for internet surfing and email but ran into a little problem -- there are no shortcuts on the limited user's desktop. In C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Desktop there is one shortcut for Media Center, but when I boot there are no shortcuts. I put in some other shortcuts in that directory and none of them show up either when I restart and choose the limited user account. My question is is this normal?
