Desktop problem

I have a line that runs across the top of my desktop screen.

The line that runs all the way across the top of the desktop is about
3/8 inches high and says left to right:
desktop____my pictures____unused desktop sho____649-11244
rosemar___649-11246 beyond b

Could somebody please tell me how to get rid of this? Thanks.

could be actually written on the jpg or bmp image for your desktop. What
happens when you have no desktop image or screensaver......

Could also be somekind of feed band, like those you see scrolling at the
bottom of tv screens on the news. Take a look at that desktop webpage option
and maybe disable it or remove it. If it is a bad feed link, then maybe you
have a startup for it as well.....
