desktop missing module

I am missing the module "C:\WINDOWS\bxxs5.dll" I don't know what it does or
where it belonged or how it was lost. I use "norton systemworks" and only
have EverQuest installed. Plus windowsXP sp1. Oh yea and I use PartitionMagic
6.0

Hi, Merkcurser.

Are you sure you want that file? My WinXP doesn't have it anywhere. Google
gets over 1,800 hits suggesting rather strongly that it may be spyware or
adware. Either way, you probably don't want it. In fact, you'd be better
to get rid of whatever program is looking for it on your computer! :>(

You don't want it. It's part of malware. Go to Start | Run | Msconfig.
On the startup tab uncheck any line referencing it. The click ok and
reboot. Then on the dialog window from msconfig check the box for it
not to nag you again.

Run these programs to check for spyware/malware. After installing
update them, then boot into safe mode and run them. You should update
and run them weekly.
