Right click on the blank desktop
Select Properties
A window will appear with the title "Display Properties"
and list 5 tabs on the top which are Themes, Desktop,
Screen Saver, Appearance, Settings..
Select the Desktop Tab
Select the "Customize Desktop." button on the bottom of
the screen.
A new window will appear with the title "Desktop Items"
Under the "General" tab there is a frame with the
label "Desktop icons"
Place a check mark beside the icons that you want
displayed on the desktop.
