Hello,
I've got WinXP Pro SP2 here at work. My home PC has WinXP Home Edition (a
few years old--has been updated to SP2). On the both PCs, I have "Desktop"
and "Quick Launch" toolbars active.
However on the home PC, I am able to turn the display of the folder name
OFF--at work I'm NOT able to. At home, the first 4 icons in each folder are
shown and if I need one of the others, I click on the appropriate arrow
button and the list comes up. At work, NONE of the icons show up.
In addition, I've got a second PC at home which is running WinXP Home
Edition SP2 (purchased last October). It does the SAME as the other home
PC--except that the "Quick Launch" toolbar won't move away from the Start
Menu--I like the Desktop and QL toolbars over next to the System Tray and
that's where I've kept them since Win98 when toolbars first came out (or the
first time I saw them anyway).
My last work PC was Win2k Pro and it did EXACTLY what I want to do with
respect to these toolbars. How do I force this new PC to do the same?
TIA!
