Good Day, I have several screen logon's but, mine is the only administrator
and my problem is (when I logon, my desk top icons don't appear. These are
the steps I must take to get the icons to appear.)

1. I hit ctrl-alt-del which opens the windows task manager, it is also blank.
2. Then I close the task manager and my icons appear and the computer finish
loading.

My OS is Win XP Pro Ser Pack 3

I hope I got the correct discussion group

Thanks in advance....

Its probably blank because youre opening task mgr in the "applications" tab.
As for the problem(s),try going to run, type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow
Install xp cd,exit the menu page.Once its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to
restart,type:EXIT Remove xp cd,restart pc..Youre other option,create a new
account, run in new,if xp responds ok,the old account may be corrupted, delete
it...
