DesignMode: buttons on multiple TbCtl pages

Hi-

Main form with 3 subforms, each subform is on a page of a 3-page tab control
with about 1/2" of space (on the tabbed page) above the subform. When I put
a command button in that space on one page, it shows up on all pages; I'd
like to show a different set of buttons on each page.

Select a tab control page --> Insert Page --> Add custom buttons to new page

I have done this before, so I know it can be done, but I don't recall the
process. Can anyone provide advice ?

The button is not in the tab control pages; it is sitting directly on the
form.

In form design view, select the button, and cut it to clipboard (Ctrl+X.)
Click on the tab you want (i.e the tab of the tab control.)
Paste (Ctrl+V.)

You need to select the appropriate tab page before creating
the button. You can even select the button, use Cut to
remove it from the form, then select the tab page and Paste
the button onto the page.

Hi Allen -

Thanks for the response. Your instructions worked perfectly and I'll not
make that mistake again.

Hi Marshall -

Thank you, too, for the response. As I mentioned to Allen, for some reason
I've made this mistake before, and I'll not make it again. Hope this is a
lesson to all readers because it's a bad habit to forget to select the page
control before dropping the button (or other control there). It's gobbled up
more than its share of my time on two occassions.

Don't feel too bad. The only reason I can answer your
question so easily is because I've done that so many times
that the correction is near automatic ;-)
